ABOUT THE SERIES

The pathway to the 2025 Stacyc World Champion

What began as a grassroots opportunity for kids and parents to experience the thrill of racing on USA BMX tracks has grown into a global celebration of young riders and their electric-powered beginnings. The Stacyc World Championship series was originally designed to be a safe, fun, and competitive introduction to two-wheeled racing. With the support of STACYC Stability Cycles, the format empowered families to engage in the sport at their own pace, promoting confidence, balance, and early rider development.

In its early years, the series featured events at top USA BMX tracks across the country, offering 11 racing classes and a Triple Crown points format that led to a world title. Riders would accumulate points across three premier amateur events, with five championship-eligible classes vying for the Stacyc World Champion crown each season. This structure allowed families to ease into racing culture while building excitement for a culminating championship event.

In 2025, the Stacyc World Championship takes a major step forward as it becomes a featured part of the inaugural Electric Bicycle Motocross (EBMX) Championship weekend, held June 20–21 at the Hardesty National BMX Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This elevated platform offers a dedicated Stacyc racing track, expanded event programming, and officially sanctioned World Championship Title Classes, which follow the Stacyc World Championship Rulebook. Additional support and exhibition classes remain open for new riders, preserving the original spirit of the series while showcasing its evolution. The Stacyc World Championships now stand as the ultimate destination for young riders on their electric journey.
